Song and the Woman's Body

From a man's perspective, there is nothing more beautiful than a woman. In her majestic glory, beaming with earthly glow, beauty that ranges from head to toe, truly one of natures greatest gift. Yet with all that is the woman, so many songs have been recorded praising only her physical attributes.

"She's a brickhouse,
she's mighty mighty letting it all hang out." "She's got legs and she knows how to use them, I like the way you move, U got the look, Doing da butt, sexy sexy sexy." The list could go on and on. So many songs referring to a woman's body.

To say if the same message is delivered by songs written and performed by women I probably would say the number isn't even close to the number written by men. From my ears, it seems that there are so many songs sung by women expressing their feelings about love, songs like "Luvin You," You make me feel like a brand new woman, and of course "Sweet thing." I guess it's a Venus/Mars thing.

Write me back on this one folks.

Well as a Woman who can hang with the best of them (when I'm on my game, that is)... I have to say that I do enjoy being on the dance floor when a song like, "She's a Brickhouse" comes on. I love being a woman, and I appreciate my assets; and I have to say that it feels great to have a drink sent over by that fine guy at the bar and/or notice a few smiles & nods of approval as I "do my thing" on the dance floor. I can dance all night to songs about a woman's body as long as the songs are not degrading.

As a man, I can appreciate your power "Mygirls" it's that thing that women have and I don't know if it's taught when your young or just natural, but it packs a punch. The funny part about songs that compliments woman's assets I find that some women roll along with the lyrics, while others feel offended. A womans prerogative I suppose.

I agree that it is a "Venus-Mars" thing, where men are more 'visually' prioritized than the distaff side - which is not to say that women don't appreciate "the view" first - their process is simply more esoteric and nuanced, in this writer's opinion. -GammaJS1

As you mentioned JS both species share that common "view first" gene, it's that process of restraint and control that amazes me as a man. The manner in which women control those urges, truly separates them from us.
